Bound rubber mulch is a safe continuous surface that has excellent impact absorbent properties. It is used widely in schools, parks and play areas to help minimise the risk of injury to children when they fall.
The coloured rubber bark closely resembles the look and feel of natural wood chippings, without the associated problems of degradation and compaction. The rubber bark is bound with polyurethane binder to ensure the right surface depth is retained in the critical fall height areas.
This type of surfacing is highly cost effective as it can often be installed without the need of costly ground preparation.
Rubber mulch surfacing is porous and so very useful as tree surrounds and garden areas as well as giving a natural feel to patio areas, pathways, trim trails, walkways and landscape areas.
